One day a friend took me to a collection of Russia’s community in our city. Almost all gathered were married, housewives, provincial girls who were married on the Internet or through correspondence, marriage agencies. A couple of months of passionate letters in the modest linguistic capabilities, a visit to Italy to fiancé, a positive score at home and financial condition and hasty marriage. And then – darkness of living side by side with completely unloved and uninteresting person, that makes the girls go mad from the impossibility of changing anything. To obtain Italian citizenship, you need to stay together for at least three years, and then a few more years of protracted bureaucratic procedures. As a result, the beautiful wife turns into a bitch, who suffers herself and poisons her husband’s life – the bearer of the promised passport … Discussions at the meetings in the Russian community revolves around the same – as cleverest be interviewed by the immigration department, how to accelerate the procedure for obtaining citizenship, as quickly as possible to divorce …. Many of the Russian women do not even speak Italian, because my husband learned Russian language, and generally they prefer to communicate only with her friends from the community, and training or work any of them are not interested: “I got married, so let the husband and contains! I see that he does not hurry home …”), provide an income of his wife (“Senora works? Must be the same, usually Russian women prefer to be kept by ….”), and struggled to try to protect the fragile family harmony of mistrust on the part of government officials, families and friends of her husband.
But “our unfortunate compatriots” who married the passport, I pay no attention to such trifles: for them it is just a nuisance on the way to the cherished nationality that they bypass easily and naturally, leaving behind a crippled fate foreign husband «and cable dislikes “this Russian.
